Read ‘The Spanish Helmet’ on Authonomy

beta_logo_03

The Spanish Helmet has been uploaded (the complete book) to authonomy.com where you can read, comment, rate, and support my work. But only if you like it.

What is Authonomy?

Authonomy is a social network for writes and readers, created by the folk at Harper Collins UK.

Authors can register with Authonomy and upload their work so that readers like you and I can go along and discover them. It is free for you to register and read books at Athonomy, and you can potentially help an author to be discovered. Simply log in, find books that interest you, read a chapter or two, and rate it. If you really like a book (or the author) and want to support them, then you can place their book on your bookshelf (this costs nothing).

Your Bookshelf

Your bookshelf has space for 5 books at a time. When like a book and want to back it, you add it to your shelf. This gives the book a special type of point. At the end of each month, the 5 books on Authonomy with the most points (went on the most bookshelves for longest) get placed on the editor’s desk at Harper Collins. They read thed th ebooks, and in the least provide the author with serious feedback. If the author has what it takes, they will be published.

Many authors have also been spotted on Authonomy by other publishing houses or literary agents.

The Feedback

Aside from the chance to get noticed, the main reason for using Authonomy is to get feedback. I can make The Spanish Helmet better when I am given constructive criticism. So why not go over, log in, and search for Greg Scowen or The Spanish Helmet, rate it, comment me, back me if you like it (put The Spanish Helmet on your bookshelf) and start discovering the multitude of other talent on the site.

I can also recommend a book by another New Zealander, called Behind the Hood. She is in the top 5 as I write.

One Response to “Read ‘The Spanish Helmet’ on Authonomy”

  1. Since The Spanish Helmet is now available for Kindle and from Smashwords, the Authonomy version has been reduced to the minimum possible. It will soon be completely removed.

If you want to get your hands on a copy of The Spanish Helmet immediately then use the Kindle links on the homepage. No kindle? No problem, the homepage also has links to the free Kindle apps for PC, Mac, Mobiles and Pads.
